Where it is

Ulu Temburong National Park is in the Temburong District of Brunei, the eastern part of the country separated from the capital by a strip of Malaysian Sarawak, reached by road over the bridge and then by longboat.

History

The park protects the upper Temburong River basin, a tract of lowland rainforest never logged, which Brunei set aside as its first national park at the end of the twentieth century. Research stations and a canopy walkway opened the forest to scientists and then to visitors.
