Ngurah Rai, Denpasar (DPS) is only about 10 km away.
Swimwear and sunscreen for the day, and something smart-casual for evenings. April to October is the dry season.
Watch the sunset on Seminyak and Double Six beaches, take a surf lesson, spend a spa afternoon or go shopping on Jalan Kayu Aya. Tanah Lot is a short drive away.
Pura Petitenget is a quiet seaside shrine tucked between the beach clubs.
Seminyak is a beach resort area on the south-west coast of Bali, Indonesia, in Badung regency, running north from Legian and Kuta along the Indian Ocean shore towards Canggu.
Seminyak was once a township of its own and is still one of the villages that make up Kuta District, but it has grown into a northern suburb of Kuta. With its spas, hotels, restaurants and upscale shops it has rapidly become one of the best-known tourist areas on the island, and many expatriates have settled there.
Seminyak's Balinese families belong to banjar, village associations that organise temple ceremonies and the ogoh-ogoh parades on the eve of Nyepi. Balinese and Indonesian are spoken, alongside the English of a large expatriate and visitor community.
On Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence, even Seminyak's busy streets fall quiet: lights, traffic and noise are forbidden across Bali for a day, and the airport closes.
