April to June and September to October — or December, for the markets.
Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. Cross the bridge at dawn, take a river cruise, and wear comfortable shoes.

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, spread over hills on both banks of the Vltava river in the heart of Bohemia.
Prague grew around its castle, begun by the Přemyslid princes in the late 9th century, and under Charles IV in the 14th century it became an imperial capital, gaining Charles University and the Charles Bridge. The Defenestration of Prague in 1618 helped spark the Thirty Years' War, and the city stayed under Habsburg rule until 1918, when it became the capital of Czechoslovakia; since 1993 it has been the capital of the Czech Republic.
Prague's people speak Czech, and beer halls and pubs are part of everyday life in a city where brewing goes back more than a thousand years. Classical music, from Dvořák and Smetana to the Prague Spring festival, and a long tradition of puppetry and black-light theatre run through the city's culture.
The Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall dates back to 1410, and more than six centuries later it is still working.
